Hello Modern Day Mommies readers! My name is Louise Masin Sattler and I am a the owner of www.Signingfamilies.com as well as very busy School Psychologist. Many days I am teaching sign language at workshops, schools, and conferences and have recently created a DVD that is nationally distributed ("Baby, Toddler and Preschool Sign Language" is the title). This DVD joins two others available on our current website (with more to come!)
In September 2009 I released, in conjunction with Shara Lawrence-Weiss from (http://www.Personalchildstories.com ) a book to help children learn to count to ten in sign language and with English and Spanish text. We also have created a new photograph chart to help children with special needs to communicate. This chart is called SIGN EXPRESSIONS LANGUAGE CHART for the prompts I FEEL and I WANT. The charts are in American Sign Language, Spanish and English.
Starting in December 2009 I will be joining a new radio venture as a talk show host. The 9-10 a.m. (EST) hour will be LEARNING & LAUGHTER with LOUISE. I will be inviting guests on the show to discuss "all things educational". The topics will span age ranges and interests. This is a very exciting venture for me!
