Greetings,

I am the owner of Baby My Sweet Baby, a family-focused business with a goal of giving infants a better start in life. As a Birth Doula (aka professional labor coach), I support all types of births in hospitals, birth centers, and private homes.  I provide infant craniosacral therapy in your home and infant massage training for parents in a group setting or privately in your home. This wasn’t always my path; I discovered my true calling 3 years ago. I have developed a passion for helping babies get a good start on life through massage and by helping their mothers achieve the kind of birth they desire.

I was a programmer/analyst for 20 years and a member of the U.S. Navy Reserve.  In 2003, I decided to walk away from a safe, secure, high-paying job to find a new path.  I needed to do something that would nurture my soul and provide care to others. 

I began my new journey attending massage school.  By taking specialty craniosacral courses and learning about the benefits of infant massage, I developed a strong belief that with an optimal birth experience and nurturing care, an infant will become a happy and well adjusted child.  Since receiving my LMT (Licensed Massage Therapist) license, I have completed a six-month birth doula internship through MotherTree Birth Services, become a Certified Birth Doula through DONA International, and a Certified Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI) through the International Loving Touch Foundation.  I am also a Reiki Master.

My Vision is to help provide every newborn a harmonious and healthy start in life. 

As a Birth Doula, my mission is to provide comfort and support to each mother, safeguarding her birth experience and ensuring the mother and her partner will look back on the birth of their child as one of the most empowering and precious moments of their life.  By combining my skills as a Doula, LMT, and Reiki Master, I will provide labor support that allows mother’s to achieve maximum self-determination and empowerment in meeting their birthing goals.  I recognize that each mother has her own specific idea of how she wants to bring her child to its first breath.  I will do my utmost to ensure the mother’s emotional and physical comfort during labor and delivery.  I will provide information and suggestions regarding birth choices, to ensure the mother and her partner are able to make informed decisions regarding the birth of their child.  And, I will be bring a calm presence as I support your birth and advocate for you and your partner.
