Unlike most photographers, John & I won't tell you that we've loved photography all of our lives and that this is what we've always wanted to do, it's just not the case. Our love of photography has stemmed from our deep love of each other and our beautiful son; here is our story... John and I met a long time ago, in our kindergarten class at Sweetbriar Elementary School. Our childhood friendship extended throughout our years in grade school, middle school, and on into high school. We began dating in October of 2002. Four months later, in February of 2003, John was deployed to Iraq. John was determined that I should know the extent of his feelings for me; he Fed-Ex'd me a beautiful engagement ring and proposed over the phone. Of course, I said yes. So began the long letters as we counted the days until we'd be reunited. Our wait was finally over when John returned in March 6, 2004 (at 12:46pm to be precise!). That August we were married and began the newest chapter of our life together. In November of 2005 we welcomed our son, Tristan Michael, into this world. With the birth of our son the world became even brighter. We found we wanted to capture each moment in our memory to savor it forever. We found it increasingly difficult to find professional photographers as excited as we were about everything that was changing and growing around us, at least in a price range we could afford. And so we began Full of Grace and setting out to change the way photography is done.
